A world without photography would be strange... I almost feel like we would be in a world without advancements in any region of technology. Almost all of our technologies are related to photography.
The word photography means art via photo... only in photography can a simple leaf be transformed into a masterpiece... photography is what everyone aspires to be, something simple that is portrayed beautiful and classy.
I definitely agree with the quote "Photography deals exquisitely with appearances, but nothing is what it appears to be" soley because photography can hightlight and deminish qualities in whatever is captured at the time. This being said only reminds me of the quote "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"
"If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera" is completely a statement that holds true to myself. The proof lies in history in my opinion. Ancient community drew their stories and the histories because a visual is so much profound than words. If Im not mistaken the truth of the matter also is that people learn and retain better through pictures and images than words.
